We’re devoted to making best gelato and bringing people together. We’re devoted to spreading  his art & culture to the growing Charlotte area.

It’s that really great gelato, that shared ‘foodie’ moments that will connect families for years to come… kids to their parents, parents to theirs, and our chosen families, our friends.

We love to see our customers enjoying our gelato with their loved ones. That is what fuels us, our excitement and keeps us young at heart. We are passionate about delivering high quality gelato and high quality laughter!

We make our gelato in small batches, carrying over the old Italian art and tradition. This improve the texture of the gelato, keeping it fresh and rich.

We combine local American flavor with authentic and traditional Italian flavors, all made right here in the shop, locally.

Because we love gelato and we love the art of making it. The way you create gelato is different from gelato master to gelato master. Gelato open the doors to creativity, convivial and joyfull moment!

How do we make it?

We make gelato using the highest quality ingredients, with the right mix of passion and creativity. Carrying over a traditional Italian technique and art.  We source our ingredients locally and also internationally (mainly from Italy). Whether sourcing the fruit from North Carolina or gathering from around the world, we always use the best basic, raw ingredients. We always make it in small batches to preserve his freshness and quality.

 

What do we make?

We make authentic Italian gelato in a small batch to preserve the freshness and quality. We offer Vegan Sorbet and Gelato. We offer a wide selection of Gluten free options as well.

Our Gelato has a uniquely smooth texture and low fat body with an intense rich flavor and a clean finish.

Gelato is something you need to savor. Gelato is an experience.

 

Our History

Originally born as a vision many years ago, to a young boy growing up in a small town outside of Venice, Italy.

The idea started to see light in 2019 after extensive studying and research was done to ensure the best quality ingredients and recipes for our future customers.

Not knowing where the perfect place was to call home, we decided to make Charlotte, the Queen City our hive or home if you prefer.

The first shop was opened in Ballantyne, North Carolina, just outside Charlotte. This growing and sunny city was a perfect location to start a gelato shop for people to enjoy.

All it takes is passion and creativity to bring joy in every serving of gelato.  Honeybee was started with the goal to bring together loved ones, over a mouth watering cup of gelato.

Honeybee wanted to present unique flavors that combine classic Italian flavors that are loved worldwide, while also adding a new creamy twist to already popular American ice cream flavors.

Why is our logo a Honeybee? What does that have to do with gelato? Just like Bees naturally create honey, our mission is to be like the Honeybee, and only use real ingredients in our recipes.

DONATION REQUESTS: We love and support the local community. We do not do monetary donations, donations are made in the form of product or gift-certificates.

Please email us at  info@honeybeegalato.com. If we are able to accommodate your request, we will contact you within 2 weeks of your application submission.

Please do not call the store, our team members are not able to process any requests over the phone.

Please contact us at least 30 days before your required date so we may best serve you.

As much as we would love to personally respond to every single application, due to the large volume of requests we receive, we are simply unable to do so.
